The perfect high-flow cat for your JDM header install!! Car Sound high-flow catalytic converters use a high flow monolithic honeycomb catalyst. The ceramic is designed for maximum flow and surface area, allowing you to achieve the most HP possible with a high-flow catalytic converter. Car Sound high-flow catalytic converters also use only the best in materials. The body of all Car Sound converters have ribs that wrap around the circumference of the shell. The ribs function as a channel to hold the cushioning mat and catalyst firmly in place. The cushioning mat sits in the channel out of the direct path of exhaust flow, which prevents the exhaust gases from eroding the mat. With the mat recessed, the exhaust gases pass more efficiently through the converter. Installing universal high-flow catalytic converters often require the use of welding, cutting and tube bending. Please contact your local muffler shop for installation. Depending on the make and model of your vehicle, you may be required to weld on an O2 sensor bung. Any muffler shop can do this for you.
